Episode 177 pt2 – 08.18.14 – with Peter Beckett & Ronn Moss (of Player)

beckettmoss Podcast two starts with a bang when Eddie plays a track from Player’s latest album, “Too Many Reasons”. Eddie and Raj take some time to talk about the careers of Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss as well as their upcoming show in both Annapolis, MD and their Australian Tour. Raj can barely keep Eddie from going off the rails with his anticipation to speak the guys in Player. After the opening track from “Too Many Reasons”, Eddie and Raj welcome Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss to the program and immediately begin discussing the new album. Peter and Ronn graciously share what it was like writing the songs and recording the new record. Eddie discusses the live sound of the band and a recent performance that had Peter and Ronn ducking women’s under garments before exiting the stage. Later, Ronn and Peter talk about their recent appearance, performing their hit “Baby Come Back” on General Hospital as well as Ronn’s recent appearance on Celebrity Wife Swap. The boys discuss Peter and Ronn’s near 40 year friendship and how they have remained close during the different stages of their lives. Eddie is able to to get some answers from Peter about his days in Liverpool and in London as an Apple records staff writer and a chance meeting with Paul McCartney and John Lennon on the day of the famous Abbey Road album cover shoot. The boys wrap up their fascinating interview with Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss with the first single from Player’s new record, “I Will”. After the break, Barry “The Stallion” Streib calls in the program to give the rundown in whats happening in sports. Eddie reads some of Stallion’s fan mail and The Stallion shares his secret of being able to predict the sports. As Stallion always says, “Stick with me and I’ll take you to the promised land”. Stallion was definitely right. Even later in the program, Comedian and professional Nurse, Tommy Arnold drops by the studio to share some recent tales from the Emergency Room. The boys wrap up with a nice round of apologies and are joined by the ghost of Raj’s dad. If you are looking for a legendary action packed episode of the coup, look no further.
